Pepsi is to release its latest advertisement for the Twenty Twenty World Cup that would feature Suresh Raina, Virat Kohli and Mahindra Singh Dhoni along with Ranbir Kapoor. The film has been created by the JWT India. The commercial opens with the shot where a team bus breaks down in the middle of a street that is very busy at the peak hours. Dhoni opens a Pepsi bottle outside the vehicle while Ranbir Kapoor appears suddenly asking him about the tactics that Dhoni has planned to use for the world cup. After his interaction with Dhoni, Ranbir Kapoor goes to have a chat with Raina and Dhoni. To the response of the players, Kapoor along with some other people on the street react in an inappropriate manner that gets Dhoni irked. Dhoni asks Kapoor in Hindi about his manners. Kapoor replies that this it twenty twenty cricket which is neither played with manners, and adds with the chorus of the his followers on the street that nor is it watched with manners.

Homi Batliwala who is the senior director for marketing of PepsiCo India has said that there is a strong association of cricket with Pepsi in the country and that the company is more than delighted to be a global sponsor of the ICC World Cup Twenty Twenty, that is to be held in Sri Lanka later this month. He has said that with the campaign of “Change the game” last year, the brand had challenged all the orthodox issues associated with the game and with the new game, they are hoping to put forward the simple philosophy among the people that is shared by the cricket crazy fans all over the country. According to Surjo Dutta, who is the executive creative director of JWT, the new commercial has focused on the excitement that is associated with the game in the country.
